Plant Moisture Sensor Electronics Project - Full Teaching Pack This project is intended as an introduction to Electronics for KS3 pupils This full teaching pack will enable Electronics to be delivered in Design and Technology or Engineering covering many of the current requirements of ofsted. Two A3 classroom Safety posters for glue gun & Soldering Iron This delivery pack will allow teachers with little or no previous experience in Electronics to deliver each stage of manufacture, testing and packaging is covered in the accompanying Youtube tutorials. More experenced teachers will find an off the shelf project ready to deliver . This project can be taught in Non D&T specific teaching areas and covers, Components, resistors, transistors, LED’s, it has been developed to produce a fun and challenging Electronics project for KS3.

Four sheets covering hand tools for metal and hand tools for wood . There are two worksheets and two learning checks which can be used later. These sheets are supported by walkthoughts of some of the questions on my YouTube channel.

**Sustainability and the Six R’s for KS3 ** Two worksheets and a lesson starter activity for a single KS3 lesson that covers Sustanable design ansnd the six R’s. These worksheets can be used together with Clips on my Youtube channel . There is a clip explaining the two toothbrushes and also a more general clip expilaining the six R’s. I would suggest starting the lesson off with the Six R’s cilp and completing the starter activity. Then watch the toothbrush comparison and complete the worksheet.

KD fittings and Knock down Furniture for GCSE Design and Technology . An A3 worksheet covering this subject and an A5 learning review sheet. This is linked to two 5 minute YouTube clip on my Channel Mr Ridley’s Design and Technology, one clip covers the worksheet and the other covers the learning review. This is for KS4 GCSE D&T. It could also be used as an introduction to the subject for KS5 product Design students.

Product Analysis Exam type questions for A Level Product Design Lemon Juicers This resource is a longer response type of A level Product Design question, This question is about looking at two contrasting products and comparing them in terms of materials and processes used for manufacture. This question also has links to the work of Philippe Starck and postmodern design. When answering this type of question many students, despite producing paragraphs of text fail to gain the full mark available for the question. This consists of two A3 sheets one is a question sheet and the second contains full marking guidance from the examiner, for the exam. This then enables students to complete the question and then ideally peer mark the response. These sheets would be ideal for a stand alone a level question or as a revision or exam practice task.

This is two A level Product design questions, featuring questions around the subject of Bio-polymers, the topical subject has appeared more frequently recently. This consists of thee A3 sheets one is a question sheet with two longer format questions and the other two sheets contain full marking guidance and tips from the examiner. This then enables students to complete the questions and then ideally peer mark the response. These sheets would be ideal for a stand alone A level question or as revision work.

Composite Materails GCSE D&T Question and Walkthrough A GCSE Design and Technology questions on Composite materials, complete with Youtube walkthrough . A4 GCSE type questions and an A5 learning check to use in a subsequent lesson. This is supported by a short walkthrough clip on my Youtube Channel. This would also be of some use for A level product design students.

This is a pack of Learning check question sheets covering a range of Design Technology subjects. There are three or four GCSE style questions on a sheet and the sheets are arranged two to an A4 sheet making each learning check A5 size. There are 7 different sheets covering, manufactured boards, scales of production, lean manufacturing, wood and metal tools. Each of the learning checks has its own walkthrough on my YouTube channel "Mr Ridley’s Design and Technology. These can be used as a lesson starter or as a learning or progress check.

This resource covers types of metals, ferrous and non-ferrous, and alloys for GCSE D&T or perhaps KS3. An set of teaching materials for a complete lesson that investigate the function and sustainability of packaging by making comparisons between two different types of packaging available for clothes washing pods. the sheets contain GCSE style questions relating to the properties of materials and sustainability. This sheet is supported by a YouTube walkthrough of questions and also a clip explaining the packaging of detergent pods. the main sheet is supplied in A3 or A4 format. there is an additional learning check sheet with two sheets on an A4 sheet, which can be used to check unterstaning the following lesson. A home learning resource for GCSE D&T involving a brands investigation. This is a major home learning task that covers brands , typically this could be set over a half term as a longer home learning task. This then covers this area which is a GCSE requirement in all GCSE D&T specifications. Included is an A3 worksheet and a copy of an exemplar completed task. Here is a home learning task for students to complete to consolidate their understanding of the process of the conversion of timber. This is a is required for all of the GCSE D&T specifications. this consists of an A3 homework sheet and also an additional A5 support sheet, I have also included the support sheet as an A4 sheet which could be used as part of an accompanying lesson. These are a set of sheets which give detailed instructions and coloured parts which allow students to manufacture a range of battle damaged Warhammer 40K buildings in a few simple stages. This resource comprises three A3 paper building templates and an A4 sheet of propaganda posters. These sheets are supported buy a step by step guide to construction which is available to watch on my YouTube channel. I created these to use with a KS3 Warhammer club but they could be used as a standalone D&T Graphics project perhaps for KS3, there are three building parts to make all of which can be combined to make a 40K cityscape. Three sheets to assist students in compiling information to then produce the Design Brief & Specification sheet for their GCSE NEA. I use these over a couple of lessons to allow students to gather the information to produce a high quality Specification and Design Brief nea sheet. The various exam boards do not allow providing frameworks for writing, however, I personally feel that if these are not given to students electronically but write on these sheets as they research in each area then use the booklet to compile the NEA sheets in their own style.
